Fresh’shrooms is an innovative eco-friendly food production company that use mushrooms in a number of meat substitute products. Our mushrooms offer a healthy meat free alternative as they are healthy, nutritional, low in fat, minimum cholesterol and have few calories. They are richer in protein than almost all other vegetables. With almost one quarter of the UK’s population classified as OBESE in 2009 there is a clear need to alter lifestyle and dietary choices.

Aside from the mushrooms’ beneficial health properties, the techniques used to farm the mushrooms are both sustainable and eco-friendly. The mushrooms are grown and harvested over a short cycle. Mushrooms are natures primary recyclers, breaking down all plant and animal debris into rich life-giving substances.

Our mushroom farming could help reduce demand for meat products which would in turn assist in the long term sustainability of the world food supply.
